Terms of Service & Community Rules

• You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. If you are under 18, do not use Obscura.
• You must give your real first name and real date of birth, and take the sign-up selfie yourself, live. Using someone else's photo, or getting around the age check, is not allowed.
• One account per device. Your account is personal; don't sell, share or transfer it.
• You may not use Obscura if you have been banned, or if you are legally prohibited from contacting others (for example by a court order) or are a registered sex offender.

Also prohibited: anything illegal, violent or extremist content, sharing someone's private information, and interfering with the app (reverse engineering, automated access, or bypassing limits and safety features).

• Use Report or Block in the chat menu whenever something feels wrong. A report sends up to 20 recent messages and any photos or voice notes from that chat to our safety team.
• We may warn, hide, suspend or permanently ban accounts and devices that break these rules, with or without notice. Accounts reported by several different people may be hidden automatically until we review them.
• We cooperate with law enforcement where the law requires.
• Meeting in person: we don't run background checks. Meet in public, tell a friend where you're going, arrange your own transport, and leave if you feel unsafe. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

• Chats are ephemeral: they are deleted when either person leaves, and can't be recovered, even by us.
• Obscura is free. We may change, limit or stop features (for example daily limits of 50 connects and 3 pings) at any time.
• Photos are checked on your phone by an automated nudity filter. It can make mistakes; blocked photos are simply not sent or shown.
• You keep ownership of what you send. You give other chat participants permission to view it once, within the app, and you give us permission to review it if a chat is reported.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may end the Service or your access with reasonable notice where possible.

No warranty. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don't promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that you'll meet anyone. We are not responsible for how other users behave, online or offline.

Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent allowed by law, PR Media LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to US $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Indemnity. You agree to cover claims arising from your breach of these terms or misuse of the Service.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, USA, and disputes will be heard in the courts of Flathead County, Montana, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to go to court where you live.

Changes. We may update these terms and will change the effective date above. Continuing to use Obscura after changes means you accept them.

Google Play. These terms are between you and PR Media LLC, not Google.
